Operations add-on
Included in every plan
What it does
Book rooms, chairs, equipment, or any physical asset alongside staff. A haircut needs a chair; a root canal needs a chair + hygienist; a class needs a room. Resources make all of this bookable and conflict-aware.
Key capabilities
Every moving part.
- Resource types per location
- Define resource types per location — chairs, dental units, treatment rooms, ultrasound machines, photography studios. Quantity is tracked per type per branch so capacity reflects reality.
- Required-resource rules
- Each service can declare which resource types it needs — a haircut needs a chair, a root canal needs a chair plus a hygienist station, a yoga class needs a studio. Booking enforces the rule automatically.
- Conflict-aware booking
- When a service is booked, both the staff calendar and the assigned resource are checked. The system refuses double-bookings even when the staff member is technically free, because the chair isn’t.
- Maintenance & downtime blocks
- Block a resource for cleaning, maintenance or downtime — with a reason field and a duration. Blocked resources disappear from booking availability until the block clears.
- Tied to appointment record
- Each appointment carries the resource reservation alongside the staff assignment, so the audit trail shows exactly which chair, room or machine was used and when.
- Capacity feeds availability
- The booking site's slot calculation accounts for resource capacity per location. If you have three chairs and three are full at 2pm, 2pm is unavailable — even when the next stylist is free.
