01

Overview

Loyalty Points keeps clients coming back. Earn rate converts spend into points at checkout. Redeem rate converts points back into discount at the next visit. Bonus rules let you double or triple earnings on specific categories, memberships, or birthdays.

02

Activation

  1. 1Dashboard → Add-ons → Loyalty Points → Activate.
  2. 2Open Add-ons → Loyalty Points. The dashboard shows Issued, Redeemed, Expired, and Active Clients.
  3. 3Go to Settings to configure before promoting the program.
03

Earning points

Earn Rate
Points per unit of currency spent. 1 means "1 point per 1 SAR". Half that (0.5) means "1 point per 2 SAR".
Earn Threshold
Minimum sale total before points are awarded. 0 means any sale earns. Set to, say, 50 to only award on sales above that amount.

Points are awarded when the sale is marked Completed, not when it's created. Refunds take points back.

04

Redeeming points

Redeem Rate
How much discount each point is worth. 100 points = 10 SAR means 1 point = 0.1 SAR.
Min Points to Redeem
Minimum balance the client must have before they can redeem. 200 is a sensible floor — below that, redemptions feel like noise.

At checkout, add Loyalty Points as a payment method. The POS shows the client's balance and applies the discount.

05

Expiry

Expiry Days
Days from earning before points expire. 365 (one year) is standard. 0 disables expiry.
Expiry Warning Days
Days before expiry when the client is notified. 30 gives time for one more visit.
06

Bonus rules

Bonus rules multiply the earn rate in specific conditions. Examples:

  • Category bonus — 2x points on Haircut services.
  • Membership bonus — 2x for all members, 3x for Gold members.
  • Birthday bonus — 3x points during the client's birthday month.
  1. 1Settings → Bonus Rules → Add Rule.
  2. 2Pick the trigger (Category / Membership / Birthday).
  3. 3Set the multiplier (2x, 3x).
  4. 4Save.
07

Transactions & client view

The Transactions tab is a full ledger of everything: Earn, Redeem, Expire, Adjust, Refund. Filter by type, date, or client. Click any row for the details.

Each client's profile shows their current balance and their own transaction history on a Loyalty Points tab — useful at the counter to settle questions.

Tips

  • Keep earn and redeem in a ratio of ~5% discount (1 point per dollar, 20 points per dollar off). Anything more generous eats margin; anything less feels like an insult.
  • Use birthday bonuses — they're the single highest-converting loyalty mechanic.
  • Watch the Expired total. If it's a big number your clients aren't visiting often enough — shorten the expiry window or add a reminder campaign.
